Industrial Corken compressors
The Corken Industrial Series range of compressors are designed to transfer many industrial and exotic gases for research, and the oil and gas industry.
CORKEN industrial series
The Corken Industrial Series range of compressors are designed to transfer a wide range of industrial gases such as butadiene, hydrogen, helium, methyl chloride, sulfur dioxide, chlorine, refrigerant gases, exotic gases for research, corrosive biogases in landfills and hydrocarbon gases in the oil and gas industry.
Corken offers one of the most versatile lines of industrial vertical compressors in the world. There are several compressor models with single or two stage compression, air or water cooling options, and single or double acting compression for maximum efficiency. Lubricated and non-lubricated versions are also available.
Oil-free gas compression, maximum leak control and containment:
Most of Corken’s vertical industrial compressors offer oil-free gas compression, thanks to their double (style D) and triple seal (style T) design. This allows the compressor to supply oil-free gas for overpressure or vacuum.
Single or double stage compressors:
Single-stage compressors are typically used in applications where the gas compression ratio is less than 5:1.
Typically, applications with relatively low differential pressures, such as transportation, railcars, and marine offloading are well suited to a single-stage compressor.
A compressor with two compression stages is necessary when the gas compression ratio is greater than 5:1.
Double-stage compressors divide the compression process into two separate stages.
Two-stage compression is commonly used in pressure boosting and vapor recovery applications requiring high differential pressures.
Single or double acting compressors:
Single-acting vertical compressors perform only one compression per revolution, so the compression takes place on only one side (top) of the piston.
Double-acting compressors perform two compressions per revolution, so the compression takes place on both sides of the piston.
Double-acting compressors provide much higher working pressure than single-acting compressors.
